Product Details
We are proud to introduce the first of our Chads and Stacys of history series! William Merritt Chase (1849-1916) was an American artist who is best known for his innovative portraits and for advancing the impressionist style. He was a contemporary of John Singer Sargent and Winslow Homer, both of whom helped him in his efforts to educate up and coming artists. Chase founded the Chase School in New York City, which is known today as the Parsons School of Design. He also was a founding member of the Shinnecock Hills Summer School of Art on Long Island, which eventually became the home of the Parrish Art Museum. Both of these institutions produced numerous influential artists. • 100% cotton face • 65% ring-spun cotton, 35% polyester • Front pouch pocket • Self-fabric patch on the back • Matching flat drawstrings • 3-panel hood • Blank product sourced from Pakistan
